Cyanotype/mixed media 2018. 190 x 100cms. (205 x 115cms inc. frame) These large scale works are figurative, but do not categorise easily, they are from interior, symbolic spaces. I try to make the pieces visually rich so that the viewer continues to be surprised and find new things in them. They are narratives that come from thinking about an issue or question, but they are not illustrations. The titles give a clue to the narrative thread of the thinking behind them, but you are invited to put your own narrative and interpretation on them. In this way they can act as a mirror, if you question your assumptions about them and ask yourself why you think of them as you do. These have been professionally framed by Dan at The Frame Shop, Braunton. They are faced with non-reflective acrylic, which is optically clearer than window glass and blocks UV, they’re backed with foam board, the frame is black, made of a solid wood framing profile. Delivery in the UK is at cost via a reliable carrier. Large framed works can be personally delivered within 100 miles of North Devon. In the UK, unframed work can be sent rolled in a card tube by carrier at no extra cost for you to frame as you wish.
